Last Word Makanyane is located on 1 800 hectares of private land adjoining Madikwe Game Reserve, giving you wonderful Big 5 sightings and unparalleled privacy. The lodge has been built in the verdant riverine forest along the Marico river and all the glass-fronted suites have river views.
Being on private land allows guides to do special stops that may not be permitted in the game reserve itself. Last Word Makanyane also offers interesting township tours and a behind-the-scenes look at reserve operations, giving you a better understanding of conservation challenges and successes.
